Today’s Pastoral Announcements – 2nd Sunday of Advent

We celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Advent – a time of prayer, conversion and vigilant waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus.

We warmly encourage you to take part in the Rorate Masses, Advent confession and family prayer.

1️⃣ Holy Masses ⛪

2nd SUNDAY OF ADVENT – 07.12.2025
Peterborough (Sunday): 7:30 am, 10:45 am, 12:30 pm, 7:15 pm.
Wisbech: Holy Mass on Sunday 14.12.2025 at 3:30 pm.
Weekday Holy Masses (Peterborough):
Monday – Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Holy Mass at 10:00 am and 7:15 pm,
Tuesday – no Holy Mass,
Wednesday: 7:00 am – Rorate Mass and Holy Mass at 7:15 pm,
Thursday and Friday: Holy Mass at 7:15 pm,
Saturday: 7:00 am – Rorate Mass and Holy Mass at 7:15 pm.
From 6:30 pm there is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and an opportunity for confession.

2️⃣ Christmas Fair 🎄

On behalf of our altar servers (LSO) and their parents we invite you to our Christmas Fair, which will take place on Sunday 07.12.2025 in the church and parish hall from 10:45 am to 2:30 pm. There will be many attractions, a festive atmosphere, raffles, decorations, as well as delicious food: pierogi, croquettes and hot drinks. All proceeds will support the altar servers and our parish.

3️⃣ Parish Office 🏢

The parish office is open on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. You are also welcome to speak to the priests after the evening Masses at 7:15 pm. 4️⃣ Advent Retreat 📿

From 12th to 14th December 2025 (Friday–Sunday) we will hold our parish Advent retreat. The preacher will be Fr. Mateusz Starczewski from Stoke-on-Trent. Retreat homilies will be given during every Holy Mass. On Saturday and Sunday, at the end of each Mass, there will be an opportunity to make an offering for the Retreat Father.

5️⃣ Christmas Wafers 🕯️

You can obtain in the sacristy blessed Christmas wafers for the Christmas Eve supper. Offerings made on this occasion are intended for the needs of our parish.

6️⃣ Christmas Parcels for the Needy 🎁

We kindly ask you to inform us in the sacristy about people in need of help so that we can prepare Christmas parcels for them. We also encourage you to bring non-perishable food (flour, rice, pasta, groats, tea, coffee, sweets) as well as toiletries and cleaning products. Gifts should be brought to the parish hall after the Holy Masses on Saturday and Sunday 13–14.12.2025. Thank you and God bless you for every sign of generosity.

7️⃣ Christmas Eve for the Lonely 🌟

We invite all those who are alone on Christmas Eve to join our traditional Christmas Eve supper for the lonely, which will take place on 24.12.2025 in the parish hall. Those who wish to attend are asked to sign up in the sacristy so that we can prepare the appropriate number of places.

8️⃣ House Blessings – Kolęda 2026 🏠

Invitation forms for the pastoral visits – house blessings (Kolęda 2026) have been placed at the back of the church. Families wishing to welcome a priest to their home are asked to fill in the form carefully and clearly, including their address and telephone number, and then place it in the box marked “KOLĘDA 2026”.
