Sunday, 7 June 2026 — Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Liturgical designation: Sunday in Ordinary Time (green); Tenth Week in Ordinary Time.
Essence of the day: The Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time leads the Church from the great mysteries celebrated in the previous days towards the daily reality of faith. After the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity and Corpus Christi, we return to a very concrete question: does the God whom we confess with our lips and adore in the Eucharist truly shape our choices? This Sunday reminds us that faith cannot remain only a festive experience. It must become a way of life: listening to the Word, forgiving, living honestly, praying and being ready to do good wherever we are.
Quote: “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick” (cf. Mt 9:12).
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You come to the weak, the lost and the wounded. Teach me not to pretend perfection before You, but to come with the truth of my heart. Grant that this week I may receive Your mercy and pass it on to others.
Practice: After Mass today, pause for a short prayer of thanksgiving. Name one concrete area of life in which you need conversion, healing or greater fidelity to the Gospel.
Saints of the day: Sunday has priority in the liturgy. It is the Lord’s Day, the centre of the Christian week and an invitation to renew our covenant with God.

Monday, 8 June 2026 — Monday of the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time

Liturgical designation: Weekday in Ordinary Time (green); in the Polish calendar, the memorial of St Hedwig Queen (white).
Essence of the day: St Hedwig Queen reminds us that holiness can mature amid responsibility, public decisions, care for the nation and the common good. Her life was not an escape from the world, but service lived in the light of the Gospel. She shows that authority, talent, position and influence become truly Christian only when they serve truth, mercy, education, culture and the poor. The beginning of the week asks us: are my duties only a burden, or are they also a place where I can love God and people?
Quote: “Whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant” (Mt 20:26).
Prayer: God, through the example of St Hedwig, teach me responsibility, wisdom and service without seeking recognition. Help me to use what You have entrusted to me — time, abilities, work and relationships — for the good of others and for Your glory.
Practice: Do one thing today without publicity: help someone, settle a neglected matter or show kindness where impatience usually appears.
Saints of the day: St Hedwig Queen — a sign of Christian responsibility, wisdom and service.

Tuesday, 9 June 2026 — Tuesday of the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time

Liturgical designation: Weekday in Ordinary Time (green); optional memorial of St Ephrem, deacon and Doctor of the Church (white).
Essence of the day: St Ephrem the Syrian was a man of word, prayer and theological poetry. His hymns helped the faithful understand the truths of faith not only with the mind, but also with the heart. This day reminds us that the language of a Christian should be pure, wise and peace-bearing. Words can wound, judge and divide, but they can also lead to God, console, explain and build unity. In the middle of an ordinary week, the Church learns from Ephrem that faith needs beauty, silence, prayer and humility before mystery.
Quote: “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt” (Col 4:6).
Prayer: Lord, cleanse my words of pride, anger and unnecessary judgement. Through the intercession of St Ephrem, teach me to speak in a way that leads towards truth, peace and deeper love for You.
Practice: Pay attention to your language today: avoid complaining, gossip or a harsh reply. Instead, speak one word of encouragement, forgiveness or gratitude.

Wednesday, 10 June 2026 — St Bogumił

Liturgical designation: Wednesday of the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time (green); in the parish calendar, the memorial of St Bogumił.
Essence of the day: St Bogumił reminds us that in Christianity the greatest strength is often hidden in silence. As a bishop and later a hermit, he becomes a sign of a person who does not absolutise office, influence or honours. His path speaks of renouncing what shines in order to choose what leads deeper: prayer, humility, service and closeness to God. In a world that measures human value by effectiveness and visibility, Bogumił teaches that true greatness is born where the heart remains free.
Quote: “Learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart” (Mt 11:29).
Prayer: God, through the intercession of St Bogumił, teach me humility, freedom from vanity and love for a life hidden in You. Help me to choose not what gives the appearance of greatness, but what leads to holiness.
Practice: Find a few minutes of silence today without a phone, conversations or haste. Entrust to God one ambition, fear or situation in which you seek too much control.

Thursday, 11 June 2026 — St Barnabas the Apostle

Liturgical designation: Memorial of St Barnabas the Apostle (red).
Essence of the day: St Barnabas belongs to those figures of the apostolic Church without whom it is difficult to imagine the first evangelisation. He was a man of trust, courage and spiritual discernment. He was able to recognise the action of grace where others might have seen only risk. His name is associated with encouragement, strengthening and lifting others up. Today reminds us that the Church needs people who not only proclaim the Gospel, but also know how to support others, give them a chance and lead them towards maturity in faith.
Quote: “He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith” (Acts 11:24).
Prayer: St Barnabas, apostle of encouragement and courage, pray for us, that we may not extinguish the good in others, but learn to recognise and support it. Obtain for us missionary zeal, a generous heart and the courage to proclaim Christ.
Practice: Strengthen one person today: send a message, say thank you, praise what is good or pray for someone who is discouraged. Let your word today become a “son of encouragement”.

Friday, 12 June 2026 — Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Liturgical designation: Solemnity of the Lord (white).
Essence of the day: The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus leads the Church to contemplate the love of Christ: faithful, patient, pierced, merciful and victorious. The Heart of Jesus is not merely a devotional symbol, but a summary of the Gospel. In it God is revealed as the One who loves humanity to the end, seeks the lost, forgives sinners and desires a response of love. This day is an invitation to adoration, reparation, the entrusting of families and parishes, and the renewal of a personal relationship with Christ.
Quote: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28).
Prayer: Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, source of love and mercy, receive my life, my wounds, sins, fears and desires. Make my heart like Yours: humble, patient, pure and ready to love despite difficulties.
Practice: Pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus today, or make a personal act of consecration to the Heart of Jesus. If you can, visit a church and entrust your family and all those wounded by lack of love to Jesus.

Saturday, 13 June 2026 — The Immaculate Heart of Mary and St Anthony of Padua

Liturgical designation: Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (white); in the parish calendar also the memorial of St Anthony of Padua, priest and Doctor of the Church (white).
Essence of the day: After the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Church turns her gaze towards the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Her heart is completely open to God, faithful in joy and suffering, preserving the Word and pondering it in silence. On the same day we remember St Anthony of Padua — a great preacher, Doctor of the Church, friend of the poor and a saint close to people in their everyday needs. Saturday therefore joins contemplation of Mary’s heart with the evangelical simplicity of Anthony: to listen to God, proclaim the truth and help concretely.
Quote: “Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart” (Lk 2:19).
Prayer: Mary, Mother with an Immaculate Heart, teach me to listen to God, keep His word and respond to it with faith. St Anthony, help me to seek what I have truly lost: peace of heart, living faith, love and the road back to God.
Practice: Pray one decade of the Rosary for families, children and those who are spiritually lost. Also make one concrete gesture of help towards someone in need — after the example of St Anthony, who joined the word with mercy.

The period 7–13 June 2026 leads the Church through the ordinary rhythm of discipleship towards a deep contemplation of the love of Christ and Mary. It is a week in which Sunday faith meets the humility of St Bogumił, the apostolic courage of Barnabas, the spiritual beauty of Ephrem, the service of St Hedwig, the merciful Heart of Jesus and the silent Heart of Mary. The saints of these days remind us that Christianity matures in concrete choices: in word, service, prayer, encouragement and faithful love to the end.
