Sunday, 31 May 2026 — The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Liturgical rank: Solemnity in Ordinary Time after Pentecost (white).
Meaning of the day: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity leads the Church into the heart of the Christian faith: God is one, yet not solitary; He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the perfect communion of love. After Pentecost, we learn to see the whole of life as an invitation into relationship with the God who reveals, saves and sanctifies. This day is not only a theological reflection, but a prayer of worship: everything begins in God, everything is sustained by God, and everything is directed toward Him.
Quote: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Mt 28:19).
Prayer: Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I entrust to You my life, my family, my parish and all the concerns of this week. Teach me to live in love, unity and truth, so that my words and choices may lead me to You.
Practice: Today, pray consciously: “Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.” Pause at the sign of the cross and say it more slowly than usual, as a personal profession of faith in the Triune God.
Saints of the day: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity takes precedence in the liturgy. The parish calendar also includes an entry on the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Monday, 1 June 2026 — Memorial of St Justin Martyr

Liturgical rank: Obligatory memorial (red); Monday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time.
Meaning of the day: St Justin Martyr was a philosopher who searched for truth and found it in Christ. His life shows that faith is not afraid of reason, questions or dialogue with the world. He was able to speak of the Gospel in the language of the people of his time, defended Christians against false accusations and finally confirmed his witness by martyrdom. The beginning of June reminds us through him that Christianity is a path of truth, not an escape from thinking.
Quote: “Always be ready to make your defence to anyone who demands from you an account of the hope that is in you” (1 Pt 3:15).
Prayer: God, through the intercession of St Justin, give me a heart that seeks truth, a mind open to Your light and the courage of calm witness. Teach me to speak with others without fear, pride or discouragement.
Practice: Today, read a short passage from Scripture or the Catechism and try to express one truth of faith in your own words. Pray for those who are searching for God but do not yet know how to name Him.

Tuesday, 2 June 2026 — Tuesday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

Liturgical rank: Weekday in Ordinary Time (green); optional memorial of Saints Marcellinus and Peter, martyrs (red).
Meaning of the day: The weekday liturgy reminds us that faith matures not only in great solemnities, but also in ordinary duties, conversations and decisions of conscience. Saints Marcellinus and Peter belong to the witnesses of the first centuries of the Church. Their martyrdom shows that the Gospel takes root where a person does not deny Christ even in the face of violence. Their memory is quiet, but very strong: God knows the names of those who remained faithful.
Quote: “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” (Mk 12:17).
Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach me prudence in a world that often tries to silence the voice of conscience. Give me fidelity in small things and courage when truth must be chosen over comfort.
Practice: Make an examination of conscience today concerning honesty in speech: do my words build trust, or do they serve avoidance, fear or convenience? Pray for persecuted Christians.

Wednesday, 3 June 2026 — Memorial of Saints Charles Lwanga and Companions, Martyrs

Liturgical rank: Obligatory memorial (red).
Meaning of the day: Saints Charles Lwanga and Companions are among the most moving witnesses of the young African Church. Their martyrdom in Uganda reminds us that holiness does not depend on age, origin or social position, but on a heart that chooses Christ. In a world of pressure, violence and moral confusion, their witness speaks of purity, courage, responsibility for the vulnerable and fidelity to God to the end.
Quote: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Mt 5:10).
Prayer: Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions, pray for young people, for those tempted to compromise with evil, and for all who must defend their dignity. Obtain for us the courage of a pure heart and fidelity to Christ.
Practice: Pray today for children and young people, especially those who experience pressure, violence, manipulation or loneliness. Make one gesture of support toward someone younger or weaker.

Thursday, 4 June 2026 — The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Liturgical rank: Solemnity of the Lord (white).
Meaning of the day: Corpus Christi is the Church’s solemn profession of faith in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. The same Lord who was born in Bethlehem, taught, died and rose again remains with us under the appearances of bread and wine. Eucharistic processions remind us that Christ is not enclosed within private devotion, but wants to pass through our streets, homes, families, workplaces and daily life. The Eucharist is the centre of the Church, the source of unity and food for the journey.
Quote: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven” (Jn 6:51).
Prayer: Jesus hidden in the Blessed Sacrament, strengthen my faith in Your presence. Teach me adoration, gratitude and a life that becomes a response to the gift of the Eucharist. Stay with me on the road and lead my family into unity with You.
Practice: Take part in Holy Mass or find a moment for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. If possible, pray in church or in the silence of your heart: “Jesus, stay with me.”

Friday, 5 June 2026 — Memorial of St Boniface, Bishop and Martyr

Liturgical rank: Obligatory memorial (red).
Meaning of the day: St Boniface, apostle of Germany, reminds us of the Church’s missionary courage and the patient building of faith where the Gospel is only beginning to take root, or where it has been forgotten. He was a man of prayer, organisation, teaching and reform. His martyrdom shows that true evangelisation is not ideological pressure, but the willingness to give one’s life for Christ and for those to whom one has been sent.
Quote: “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation” (Mk 16:15).
Prayer: Saint Boniface, pray for the Church in Europe, for missionaries, priests, families and parish communities. Obtain for us the courage to return to the Gospel and a zeal that is not discouraged by difficulties.
Practice: Pray today for Europe, for countries losing the memory of their Christian roots, and for those who proclaim the Gospel in places marked by religious indifference. Make one concrete gesture of faith without shame.

Saturday, 6 June 2026 — Saturday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

Liturgical rank: Weekday in Ordinary Time (green); optional memorial of St Norbert, bishop (white).
Meaning of the day: The Saturday after Corpus Christi invites us to pause quietly before the mystery of the Eucharist and to ask whether the grace received truly transforms daily life. St Norbert was a man of renewal, penance and Eucharistic zeal. His life reminds us that the Church is renewed not by noise, but by conversion, prayer, reconciliation and fidelity to Christ present among His people.
Quote: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13).
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank You for this week: for the mystery of the Holy Trinity, for the witnesses of faith and for the gift of the Eucharist. Through the intercession of St Norbert, renew in me the desire for prayer, peace and a life close to You.
Practice: In the evening, make a short examination of conscience: is the Eucharist the centre of my life, or only one religious duty among others? Entrust to God the coming Sunday and the people with whom it is difficult for you to keep peace.

The period from 31 May to 6 June 2026 leads the Church from contemplation of the Most Holy Trinity to adoration of Christ present in the Eucharist. It is a week in which faith becomes worship, service, witness and food for the journey. The saints of these days — Justin, Marcellinus and Peter, Charles Lwanga and Companions, Boniface and Norbert — show that the truth about God is not a theory, but a life given to Christ in concrete decisions.
